Priyanka Gandhi arrived in Shimla on May 26 and began a tour of the four parliamentary areas — Kangra, Hamirpur, Mandi, and Shimla.

After traveling across the state for four days to boost the party’s election campaign, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra ended her campaign in Solan, part of the Shimla parliamentary constituency. Before heading to Solan, she visited the Hanuman temple on Jakhu Hill in Shimla.

Priyanka, with her daughter Miraya Vadra, drove from her cottage in Chharabara, 14 km from Shimla, to the Hanuman temple. She spent about 15 minutes at the temple, offering prayers and performing ‘Aarti’. Later, she shared a video clip on the social media platform X.

"I visited Jakhu temple in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, and received blessings from Shri Hanuman Ji Maharaj. I prayed for the welfare of the people of the country and state. Shri Hanuman Ji Maharaj, may you bless all the countrymen," said the Congress leader, who wore traditional Indian attire with a dupatta on her head.

During her visit, Priyanka interacted with visitors at the Jakhu temple. Her last visit to the Jakhu temple was in May 2023.

The leader reached Shimla on May 26. She toured all four parliamentary segments — Kangra, Hamirpur, Mandi, and Shimla. She addressed rallies in Chamba and Shahpur under the Kangra seat and held public meetings in Kutlehar and Gagret. She also addressed a rally in Kullu and conducted roadshows in Mandi and Barsar.

As a star campaigner for the party, she concluded her visit with a roadshow in Solan to support Congress' Shimla Lok Sabha candidate Vinod Sultanpur. Party workers crowded Mall Road in Solan, shouting pro-Congress slogans as Gandhi moved in an open vehicle with party flags waving.

State cabinet ministers Dhani Ram Shandil and Anirudh Singh, chief parliamentary secretary Sanjay Avasthi, and other Congress MLAs accompanied the leader.
