Prashant Kishor, who is facing criticism on social media for his prediction in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party, supported Yogendra Yadav's seat forecast.

Following renowned political scientist Prashant Kishor and US poll expert Ian Bremmer, psephologist-turned-politician Yogendra Yadav has now forecasted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure another victory in the general elections, thwarting the Congress party's aspirations for an electoral resurgence.

However, according to Yadav, there is a silver lining for the Congress party in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections -- its seat tally may surpass 100.

Kishor, who is facing criticism on social media for his prediction favoring the Bharatiya Janata Party, endorsed Yadav's seat projection. He stated that according to Yadav, the BJP is expected to secure between 240-260 seats, with its allies gaining 34-45 seats, resulting in a total for the NDA ranging from 275 to 305 seats.

"A trusted figure among those knowledgeable about elections and socio-political issues in the country, Yogendra Yadav, has shared his 'final assessment' of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. According to Yogendra ji, the BJP may secure 240-260 seats, and NDA's allies may garner 35-45 seats in these elections. This implies 275-305 seats for BJP/NDA. To form the government in the country, 272 seats are required, and BJP/NDA had 303/323 seats in the outgoing Lok Sabha. (Shiv Sena won 18 seats as part of NDA but is no longer with them). Now, judge for yourself whose government is being formed. On June 4, we will know who is talking about whom," Kishor wrote on X.

According to Yadav, the Congress is expected to secure between 85 and 100 seats. The INDIA bloc, aiming to halt the BJP's momentum, is projected to be reduced to 120-135 seats.

In the 2019 general elections, the Congress had won only 52 seats.

Prashant Kishor, who has faced criticism on social media for his prediction favoring the Bharatiya Janata Party, has endorsed Yogendra Yadav's seat forecast. Yadav, a prominent political analyst and now a politician, has forecasted another victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, dashing hopes of an electoral revival for the Congress party.

According to Yadav, there might be a silver lining for the Congress as its seat tally could surpass 100.

Backing Yadav's prediction, Kishor stated that according to Yadav, the BJP is expected to win between 240-260 seats, with its allies securing 34-45 seats. This projection implies that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) may secure a total of 275-305 seats.

Kishor shared Yadav's assessment on social media, emphasizing Yadav's credibility in understanding electoral dynamics in the country.

Additionally, Yadav suggested that the Congress is likely to win between 85 and 100 seats, while the INDIA bloc, aiming to counter the BJP's dominance, may secure 120-135 seats. Notably, in the 2019 general elections, the Congress had won only 52 seats.

In an interview earlier this week, Kishor had expressed his belief that the BJP would comfortably surpass the majority mark, citing the absence of significant dissatisfaction against the ruling party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Ian Bremmer, an American political scientist, also predicted a strong performance for the BJP, suggesting that the party might secure between 295 and 315 seats.

The BJP had secured 303 Lok Sabha seats in the 2019 general elections, primarily driven by the 'Modi wave' in Hindi heartland states. However, achieving the ambitious '370 seats' target would require significant victories in states like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, and Telangana.
