The former Telangana governor tried to put an end to rumors that she was being "admonished" on Wednesday by stating on X that she and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were talking about post-election challenges in the state, amidst the controversy surrounding a video of the two.

But the DMK and Congress seem intent on dragging the matter out; according to reports, the Congress is organizing a protest for this Thursday in the state. Due to the outrage of members of Tamilisai's important Nadar community over the video, the event has also assumed a caste-related dimension.

Following state, it became viral BJP leaders posted it on social media and suggested that Shah was rebuking Tamilisai over remarks purportedly targeting Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai.

"Today as I met our Honorable Home Minister Sri @AmitShahji in AP for the first time after the 2024 Elections, he called me to ask about post-poll follow-up and the challenges faced," Tamilisai stated on X on Wednesday. He was quite concerned and gave me reassuring counsel to work hard on the political and constituency work while I was lobbying because of my limited time. This is to dispel any unfounded rumors regarding.

While a DMK spokeswoman questioned the Home Minister for allegedly using "a threatening body language and harsh words" against a female politician, elders of the Nadar community demanded an apology from both Shah and Annamalai, questioning whether the party's upper caste leaders would receive the same treatment.
Most of the Nadar community has supported national parties in a state where Dravidian parties have dominated politics for decades.
