In a letter to SEC Chair Gary Gensler on behalf of "one or more anonymous and confidential" whistleblowers, the organization requests that the agency enact rules prohibiting non-disclosure agreements that deter investors or staff members from reporting irregularities to authorities as soon as possible.
The letter dated July 1 makes reference to a formal whistleblower complaint that was just submitted to the SEC. The letter was initially reported by The Washington Post.
