The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Delhi is hosting its eighth annual summer camp for students from government schools in Delhi. The camp, which runs from May 27 to June 22, takes place at the IIIT-Delhi Campus. This initiative offers a combination of educational and entertaining activities for students from grades 6 to 8.

Event Details and Participation:

Over 400 students from various schools across Delhi are participating in the camp. These schools include Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Ra.U.Ma Baal Vidyalaya, Gyan Mandir Public School, GBSS School Harkesh Nagar, Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, KC Vishwakarma Public School, Jay Hind Public School, and Baal Vaishali Public School.

The summer camp features a diverse range of workshops and activities, such as theatre, arts and crafts, athletics, Abacus to AI, AstroGeo, and Experimental Sciences. These interactive sessions are designed to enhance students' critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork skills, preparing them for future success.

Empowering Girls in STEM:

A notable addition to the program this year is the TLF camp for girls in Classes 9 to 12. This camp provides academic support, mentorship, and personal development with a focus on empowering girls in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields. Collaborating with IIIT-Delhi's academic department and the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL), the TLF Camp offers an immersive learning experience specifically for girls.

Interactive learning and workshops:

The TLF Camp includes interactive sessions and workshops led by dedicated female volunteers. Students receive guidance in subjects like general knowledge, English language, mathematics, physics, and the Mental Ability Test (MAT). They also explore fields like computer science, robotics, and the Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum (EMC), along with engaging in fun zone and club-related activities.

Inauguration Ceremony:

The guest of honor for this year’s inauguration ceremony was Anand Kumar, the founder of Super 30. He officially commenced the camp and addressed the participating students, inspiring them with his insights and experiences.
