Motorola's Foldable Razr 50 Duo Rumored to Be in Development

Motorola is reportedly working on the foldable Razr 50 duo, comprising the Motorola Razr 50 and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. These devices have been circulating in the rumor mill over the past few weeks. Prior to any official announcements, a tipster has revealed the anticipated US pricing for the base model, the Motorola Razr 50. The phone is expected to launch in select countries under the name Motorola Razr 2024. It is speculated to be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X SoC and may come with a 3.63-inch cover display.

Renowned tipster Arsene Lupin (@MysteryLupin) on X has indicated that the Razr 50 will be priced at $699 (approximately Rs. 58,000) in the US. Last October, the Motorola Razr (2023) debuted in the US with the same price tag.

On the other hand, the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra recently surfaced online with a price tag of $999 (around Rs. 83,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.

Motorola's upcoming Razr 50 is rumored to make its official debut in June alongside its premium Ultra variant. It is expected to feature a 6.9-inch pOLED internal display and a 3.63-inch cover display. Powering the device could be a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The foldable phone may sport a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel secondary shooter, along with a 13-megapixel selfie camera. Additionally, it is speculated to house a 4,200mAh battery.

Last year, the Motorola Razr 40 series was launched in China in June. Subsequently, in October, the lineup was introduced in the US under the name Motorola Razr (2023). The device features a 6.9-inch full-HD+ foldable pOLED display with a resolution of 1,080x2,640 pixels, alongside a 1.5-inch secondary screen. It is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM. The handset boasts a dual rear camera setup led by a 64-megapixel primary sensor and a 32-megapixel selfie camera. It packs a 4,200mAh battery with support for 30W wired and 8W wireless charging.
