Recalling those lengthy rides and coffee meetings with Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Farida Jalal—who was last seen in Heeramandi—said they argued like children.
Over the course of her multi-decade career, veteran performer Farida Jalal has given a number of standout performances. Two of her most notable roles were as the "cool" dadi in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and the "daai jaan" in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
The actor, who most recently starred in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has frequently and warmly discussed her past friendships and experiences working with former stars in interviews.
Farida also appeared on screen alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan (who was then known as Jaya Bhaduri) in a number of movies, and the two grew close over time. Farida, who had known the couple during their courting, would frequently go out for coffee with them.
She revealed that the three frequently went on coffee dates to the Taj hotel and relished lengthy drives together in a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble. The actor playing the duplicate also remembered seeing their altercations.
