India To Make One Major Change For Super 8s Match Against Afghanistan Because Virat Kohli Is "Frustrated"
In an attempt to get back in the hunt for runs, Virat Kohli struck for a long time, most of them throwdowns, before moving to the other net to take on Kuldeep and Khaleel Ahmed. Against Kuldeep, Kohli middled most of the balls, but he was annoyed since he missed some from Khaleel.
Kuldeep Yadav is included in the lineup for India's T20 World Cup Super 8 opening match against Afghanistan on Thursday due to the spin-friendly conditions in the Caribbean. During the league stage of the competition, Kuldeep—India's finest spinner in all formats—was rested in favor of three specialist pacers and two finger spinners, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja, who extended the batting order to number eight.
In order to balance the playing XI, captain Rohit Sharma has already emphasized the deployment of four all-rounders—two pace and two spin. He is therefore unlikely to make any concessions in that regard. Kuldeep can only make the starting eleven if India loses a third pacer.
Similar to the first practise, Kuldeep spent a considerable amount of time bowling on Tuesday. He bowled to Rohit and Virat Kohli, who employed the slog sweep against the wrist spinners.
Kuldeep was bowling to an imaginary field against Rohit, who had been defeated by the left-armer at the beginning of the session, while head coach Rahul Dravid was observing.
It seems obvious to draft in Kuldeep if the ball turns at the main square as much as it has been doing in the nets. That being said, one can never be certain of the behavior on the pitch on game day.
Australia scored 201 runs in the league stage of the game against fierce rivals England, thus this could be a decent batting pitch.
"Although it might not turn as much as it is in the nets, the pitch should still turn in the middle. Thus far, the spinners have shown to be very beneficial throughout the Caribbean. A former international who was in attendance stated, "I don't think India will make any changes; they wouldn't want to compromise on their batting."
