UPSC CDS II 2024 Exam Notification Released: A Step-by-Step Guide to Applying!
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Combined Defense Services Examination 2024. Applications are now open, and interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply on the official website—upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in—starting May 15.
The deadline to submit the application form is June 4, by 6 pm. There are a total of 459 vacancies available across various courses. According to the UPSC, the CDS II examination is scheduled for September 1.
How to Apply for UPSC CDS Exam II:
- Visit the official website, upsconline.nic.in.
- Click on the 'One-Time Registration of Examination' link.
- Register by providing necessary details such as name, date of birth, gender, category, parents' names, and more.
- After registration, log in using your login ID, OTP, and verification code.
- Verify the submitted information and proceed to fill out the application form.
- Once the form is filled out, save, submit, and proceed to pay the fees.
- Download the application form with the fee payment status for future reference from the dashboard.
Educational Qualifications:
- For Indian Military Academy (I.M.A.) and Officers' Training Academy, Chennai: a degree from a recognized university or its equivalent.
- For the Indian Naval Academy: a degree in engineering from a recognized university or institution.
- For the Air Force Academy: a degree from a recognized university with physics and mathematics at the 10+2 level or a Bachelor of Engineering.
Candidates in their final year/semester of the degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they do not have any current backlog up to the last semester.
Application Fees:
Except for female, SC, and ST candidates who are exempt, all candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs 200. Payment can be made via credit or debit card, UPI payment, or internet banking.
Modifications to the application form can be made from June 5 to 11. Once submitted, applications cannot be withdrawn. Eligible candidates will receive an e-Admit Card on the last working day of the preceding week of the examination date.
