Two Terrorist Adherents Detained in J&K Following Attack on Kathua

Two weeks following a significant terrorist attack on the Army in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, the police detained two supporters of terrorism who were purportedly involved in aiding a sizable group of terrorists backed by Pakistan in the attack, which resulted in the deaths of five soldiers and the injuries of five more.

The two defendants dwell in the Kathua district's Bilawar and Malhar neighborhoods, where the attack happened on July 9.
After the assault, there was a significant police sweep in Kathua against suspected suspects, and 100 people were held for questioning.
Forty people were detained during the crackdown, and police claim that "preventive measures" have been taken against them. "Over 100 individuals were interrogated and preventive measures have been taken against over 40 others in connection with the case to mitigate risks and disrupt potential support systems for terrorist activities" according to a police spokesperson.
The accused hindered attempts to stop terrorist acts by refusing to provide the authorities with crucial information. "These individuals were found to have deliberately withheld crucial information from the police," according to authorities.
On July 9, a group of terrorists with heavy weapons ambushed two army trucks, killing five troops and wounding five more. Terrorists were able to flee the ambush without taking any personal fatalities.
