Sony has launched the Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI smartphones in Europe. The flagship Xperia 1 VI features a 6.5-inch OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and a vapour chamber cooling system. It boasts IP65 and IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance. On the other hand, the Xperia 10 VI is a budget offering with a smaller 6.1-inch screen. Both phones come with a 48-megapixel primary rear camera and a 5,000mAh battery with 30W charging support.
The Xperia 1 VI starts from EUR 1,299 (approximately Rs. 1,17,400) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model and comes in Black, Platinum Silver, and Khaki Green colour options. The Xperia 10 VI is priced starting from EUR 349 (around Rs. 31,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB model and is available in Black, Blue, and White shades. Pre-orders for both models are currently open in Europe, with the Xperia 1 VI set to go on sale from June 6 and the Xperia 10 VI from June 10.
Both the Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI run on Android 14, with Sony promising three major OS upgrades and four years of security updates. The Xperia 1 VI features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the Xperia 10 VI is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Both phones sport similar main camera setups, with the Xperia 1 VI offering a triple rear camera setup and the Xperia 10 VI featuring a dual rear camera setup. They also come with a 5,000mAh battery and support for 30W fast charging.
