Updates on Pune Porsche Accident Case: A peon from Sassoon General Hospital has been arrested by the police in connection with the Pune Porsche car accident case. Allegedly, the peon collected a bribe of ₹3 lakh intended for two senior doctors. These doctors were accused of replacing the juvenile driver's blood samples with samples from another individual, which indicated no presence of alcohol. According to News18, the Pune Police's Crime Branch recovered the ₹3 lakh in cash on Monday.

Earlier on Monday, Pune Police arrested two doctors identified as Dr. Ajay Taware, head of Sassoon General Hospital's forensic medicine department, and Dr. Shrihari Halnor, the chief medical officer. They were accused of manipulating the blood samples of the teen driver involved in the Pune Porsche accident. Subsequently, the hospital peon, Atul Ghatkamble, who works under Dr. Ajay Taware, was also arrested. They have been remanded in police custody until May 30.

Two young IT professionals lost their lives after a speeding Porsche, allegedly driven by a minor boy, collided with their motorcycle in the early hours of May 19 in the Kalyani Nagar area of Pune city. The police assert that the 17-year-old was intoxicated at the time of the accident.

• Pune Police suspects financial transactions, termed as 'kickbacks,' occurred in the alleged replacement of the original blood sample of the juvenile driver involved in the Porsche car crash. Two doctors from the state-run Sassoon Hospital were arrested in connection with this incident.
• Police commissioner Amitesh Kumar stated at a press conference that the juvenile driver's blood samples were discarded and substituted with another individual's samples.
• Dr. Ajay Taware, Dr. Shrihari Halnor, and Atul Ghatkamble were remanded in police custody until May 30 by the court, despite the prosecution seeking custody for 10 days.
• The prosecution revealed that the juvenile's father, Vishal Agarwal, a realtor, contacted one of the doctors to change the blood samples. The police aim to investigate others involved in instructing the manipulation of the samples.
• Pune Police have added additional sections of the Indian Penal Code to the original charges against the juvenile in the Porsche crash case.
• In a separate development, the police were permitted to take custody of Vishal Agarwal from Yerwada Central Jail regarding a case involving the kidnapping and wrongful confinement of his driver.
• Representatives from Porsche visited Yerwada police station to conduct a technical inspection of the luxury car involved in the crash.
• The investigation revealed that the juvenile's father contacted Dr. Ajay Taware and offered inducements to replace the blood samples.
• CCTV footage from one of the bars visited by the teenager reportedly showed him drinking with friends, contradicting earlier claims that he tested negative for alcohol.
• Initially, the teenager was granted bail by the juvenile justice board and instructed to write a 300-word essay on road accidents. However, following public outcry and a review application by the police, he was sent to an observation home until June 5.
