PM to spearhead Yoga Day festivities on June 21 and launch several projects in J&K today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate and lay the groundwork for 84 significant development projects valued at over Rs 1,500 crore during his two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Plus, he'll be in charge of Yoga Day festivities.

In addition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet with young people and give 2000 appointment letters during his two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, which starts on Thursday.
The Union Territory will witness the Prime Minister laying the cornerstone and launching 84 significant development projects worth over Rs 1,500 crore.
Projects pertaining to water supply plans, higher education infrastructure, and road infrastructure will all be inaugurated.
The Prime Minister will also lay the cornerstone for several initiatives, including the expansion of industrial estates, the building of six government degree colleges, and the enhancement of the Chenani-Patnitop-Nashri region.
Additionally, the Rs. 1,800 crore Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors (JKCIP) Project will be introduced by PM Modi. The project would encompass 15 lakh beneficiaries and be implemented in 90 blocks spread over 20 districts in Jammu and Kashmir. The project's outreach will be 300,000 households.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to attend the 'Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K' event at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar today at approximately 6 p.m.
The initiative, which showcases accomplishments and inspires young achievers, is a critical turning point for the area.
The prime minister will visit stalls and speak with Jammu and Kashmir's young achievers on this special occasion.
More than two thousand people who have been appointed to government positions will also receive appointment letters from the prime minister.
