MUDA'scam': Siddaramaiah alleges conspiracy since he is a member of the lower class and is the city manager twice.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah claims a plot sponsored by the BJP to deny fraud over MUDA land given to his wife, Parvathi. In support of J.P. Nadda, B.Y. Vijayendra's protest demands for an investigation, questions the current BJP's targeting, and draws attention to a Rs 62 crore settlement under MUDA's 50:50 program. He also addresses undeclared 3.16 acres in an Election Commission complaint.
Mysuru (Karnataka): Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah claimed on Thursday that he was unnecessarily being singled out in the issue of the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) allegedly allotting sites to land losers fraudulently, which involves plots that were granted to his wife Parvathi. He claimed that because he is from a lower class background and is the chief minister for the second time, a conspiracy is being created against him out of heartburn and that he will not be afraid of such plots.
The chief minister was responding to claims that there had been a "scam" when BJP state president B Y Vijayendra announced on July 12 that there would be a "mega" protest in Siddaramaiah's hometown of Mysuru.
"Have we not given the MUDA scam enough attention for a probe? The BJP is playing politics, and if they play politics, we will too." Let them demonstrate under the direction of anyone, even J P Nadda, the national head of the BJP. We will take political action as well if they do it. Are they limited to doing politics? Politically, we also know how to counter it," Siddaramaiah informed reporters at this location.
The chief minister responded, "They have to say where it is illegal," to a query concerning the BJP's apparent attempt to harm him over sites assigned to his wife. We assert that certain things are lawful. Let them prove that it is prohibited."
"(I'm being attacked) needlessly for political purposes. They are acting politically since they were unable to uncover any evidence against me. People are experiencing heartburn as a result of Siddaramaiah's election as chief minister for the second time, leading to the creation of conspiracies. "Will I be afraid of such plots?" he enquired.
It is said that Siddaramaiah's wife was given compensatory plots in a posh neighborhood in Mysuru, which were worth more than the land she had "acquired" from the MUDA.
