Investigation ongoing into collapse of Sunkishala retaining wall
Local authorities stated that structural breakdown was the main cause of the disaster and that workers were safely positioned above ground level when a 25-meter-high structure fell, averting a huge tragedy.
Hyderabad: An investigation is underway into the retaining wall collapse at the Sunkishala pump house, which is currently being built.
The main cause of the accident, according to local officials, was structural failure. A great tragedy was prevented when the workers were kept safely above ground when a 25-meter-tall structure collapsed.
Despite the fact that the incident happened on August 1, the irrigation officials asserted that they were unaware of it. According to early indications, shoring collapse may have been the cause. Officials from the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) were keeping an eye on the activity.
The purpose of the retaining wall installation was to keep water out of the tunnel that led to the pump house. It is not possible to restart the stopped-up work until the water levels drop.
