Montana: According to CBS News, which cited airport officials, former US President Donald Trump's aircraft experienced a mechanical problem that caused it to be diverted to Billings on Friday (local time).

The demonstration is scheduled for Friday night (local time) and will be led by the former US President. It was scheduled to start at 10 p.m. ET, or 8 p.m. local time. But according to a statement from Billings-Logan International Airport, his private aircraft touched down in Billings on Friday afternoon.
Bozeman is notable for being roughly 150 miles west of Billings.
Trump's jet "landed without incident," the airport said, adding that he had taken off on another private aircraft for Bozeman CBS News.
This is Trump's first event of the week; his opponents, running mate Sen. JD Vance, vice president Kamala Harris, and governor Tim Walz, have been traveling across crucial swing states.
Less over a month ago, Trump was shot while speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Montana has been viewed as a safe Republican state ever since Bill Clinton prevailed in the state's 1992 presidential election.
But according to CBS News, Trump's visit is intended to assist Republican Senate candidate Tim Sheehy in unseating Democratic incumbent Sen. Jon Tester, who is seeking reelection in November.
Trump announced his intention to run for president again in November 2022.
After his acrimonious departure in 2020, he hopes to return to the White House and make history by being the second commander-in-chief to serve two non-consecutive terms in office.
