NEET Paper Leak Row: Within the next two months, the ministry will receive the findings from the seven-member committee.

A seven-member panel was formed at the center to oversee NTA's operations, and they met today.

New Delhi: According to officials at the Education Ministry, the seven-member high-level committee of the Center, which was established to supervise openness and investigate the operations of the National Testing Agency (NTA), will convene on Monday.

Earlier on Saturday, the Ministry of Education announced the establishment of a high-level expert group tasked with formulating recommendations for changes to the NTA's operations, data security standards, and assessment process mechanism.

Within the next two months, the ministry will receive the report from the seven-member team, which is chaired by Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, the former chairman of ISRO.

"A High-Level Committee of Experts was established by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education to guarantee the transparent, efficient, and equitable administration of exams through the National Testing Agency (NTA)." make recommendations on reform in the mechanism of examination process improvement in data security protocols and the structure and functioning of National Testing Agency," the ministry said.

Due to purported discrepancies in the exams, the NTA, which administered the NEET-UG exams, is coming under fire. Protesters and political groups demanded that the NTA be dissolved, sparking several demonstrations around the nation. Concerns were raised when an extraordinary 67 individuals received a perfect score of 720 out of 720.

In response to irregularities in the exam, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a criminal case on Sunday and established special teams to look into the problem.

According to the agency's FIR, on May 5, 2024, the NEET (UG) 2024 examination was conducted in a few states, during which some "isolated incidents" took place. The CBI has assigned special teams to look into the situation.

NTA asserted in the meantime that its website and all its web portals are fully secure.
