IIT Patna marked its 10th convocation on Tuesday, awarding degrees to 630 students from various engineering disciplines. Of these graduates, 515 were male and 115 were female.

IIT Patna marked its 10th convocation on Tuesday, awarding degrees to 630 students from various engineering disciplines.

Of these graduates, 515 were male and 115 were female. The graduating class comprised 335 BTech, 73 MSc, 90 MTech, and 132 PhD students. While 366 students collected their degrees in person, the rest would receive them by post.

In addition to degrees, several students were honored with medals. Batturi Jaswanth received the President of India Gold Medal in computer science engineering. Gogineni Charisma, Anugrah, and Lovepreet Singh received the Director's Gold Medal, Chairman's Gold Medal, and Aryabhatta Gold Medal, respectively. Additionally, Tarusi Mittal received the Shri Kedar Nath Das Memorial Award in computer science engineering.

Seventeen other students from various departments were recognized with silver medals for their exceptional academic performances. The convocation featured a distinct dress code: male graduates wore white pyjama kurtas, while female graduates wore white sarees.

N Kalaiselvi, director general of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and secretary of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), graced the occasion as chief guest.

Congratulating the graduates, Kalaiselvi emphasized the importance of balancing science and humanity in the pursuit of global excellence. He urged the graduates to contribute towards India's development and strive to achieve the goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.

The chairman, board members, and members of the Senate of IIT Patna were also in attendance at the event.
