Why did Center terminate UGC-NET?
Based on information provided by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), a division of the ministry of home affairs, and the National Cyber Crime Threat Analytics Unit, the ministry of education announced the cancellation of the UGC-NET June 2024 exam.
In a statement released on Wednesday, it stated that these contributions suggested possible breaches in the integrity of the test.
The statement also stated that the ministry opted to cancel the exam and start a new examination cycle in order to preserve openness and the integrity of the examination process.
The Central Bureau of inquiry (CBI) has also been tasked with conducting a comprehensive inquiry into the matter.
