Paris has a grand strategy to reduce its carbon impact, but how does food fit into this?

During the Olympics in Paris, athletes primarily offered vegan meals.

The Games Village, which is renowned for meeting the various dietary requirements of athletes, has changed its menu significantly for this year's Paris Olympics.

The organizers have made the brave decision to increase the availability of vegan options while reducing the amount of meat, cheese, and dairy products available in an effort to promote sustainability and wellness.

Paris, according to a study, has an ambitious goal to reduce its carbon footprint. They estimate that their carbon footprint will be 1.58 million metric tons of CO2, which is fewer than the 1.96 million metric tons of CO2 of the Tokyo Olympics, which were affected by the Covid pandemic.
