New Delhi: The National Institutional Ranking Framework's (NIRF) criteria were used to create the ninth edition of the India Rankings for 2024, which was just released by the Education Ministry.
The best medical schools in the nation's capital for those interested in practicing medicine are listed below, based on rankings.
With a score of 94.46, All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi is the best medical school in the nation.
The second-best hospital in Delhi is Safdarjung Hospital & Vardhman Mahavir Medical College. With a score of 62.36, it comes in at 17th in the nation.
With a score of 59.63, Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi comes in at number 24. In the nation's capital, it ranks as the third-best medical facility.
Lady Hardinge Medical College is ranked 29th in the nation with a score of 57.80. It is Delhi's fourth-best medical facility.
With a score of 57.65, University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi comes in at number 32 in the nation. In the nation's capital, it ranks as the fifth-best medical facility.
The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, with a score of 56.89, is the sixth-best medical school. It comes in at number 34.
Delhi's Jamia Hamdard is ranked seventh in Delhi and 37th nationally. It is rated at 55.53.
The number of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) that participated in these rankings increased from 3,565 in 2016 to 10,845 in 2024. Additionally, there were sixteen topic domains and categories in 2024 compared to just four in 2016.
In addition to specialized rankings in areas like Universities, Research Institutions, Degree Colleges, and Innovation, as well as discipline-specific areas like Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Law, Medical, Dental, Architecture & Planning, and Agriculture & Allied Sectors, the ranking process for 2024 will still provide a thorough "Overall" ranking. This year has also seen the addition of new categories for state public universities, skill universities, and open universities.
