Delhi University New Academic Year Could Be Prompted by CUET UG Results Delay

Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh declared on Saturday that the start of the first-year semester at Delhi University (DU) would probably be delayed until August 16 because of a hold-up in the Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) results release.
The academic calendar has been disturbed by the delay in publishing the results, which was originally slated to begin on August 1.
According to Vice Chancellor Singh, other semesters' classes will start on August 1 as planned.
"The outcome has not yet been made public, but it will affect students' first-semester schedules in courses where CUET-UG is required for admission. Most likely, the semester will begin on August 16. In all other semesters, the academic year will begin on August 1st." DU Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh told ANI.
Singh responded to a question regarding whether the university had heard anything from the National Testing Agency (NTA), which is in crisis and administers CUET UG, by saying, "We have not received any communication from the National Testing Agency (NTA) about the result."
The NTA is presently resolving charges of paper leaks concerning NEET-UG and UGC-NET, causing a delay in the release of the CUET-UG results.
The NTA's information bulletin states that the original release date of the CUET-UG results was June 30. The outcomes, nevertheless, have not yet been made public.
The CUET-UG results are essential for admission to prestigious universities like Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in the nation's capital and Delhi University (DU), among other Central universities, therefore this delay is noteworthy.
The main exam for entrance to undergraduate programs is the CUET-UG at 46 Central universities, and this year's exam was conducted from May 15 to May 31 in both online and pen-and-paper formats.
All participating colleges' admissions schedules will be impacted by the postponement of the CUET-UG results announcement. For example, DU had scheduled the launch of its phase two admissions portal by July 2 in order to fill 71,000 seats through the use of CUET-UG results.
