Day 1 box office receipts for Indian 2
In India, Kamal Haasan's much awaited sequel takes in Rs 26 crore but fails to match Vikram's opening haul.
The much-anticipated Indian 2, the follow-up to "Ulaganayagan," starring Kamal Haasan, was finally released in Indian theaters on Friday. Despite the movie's successful box office opening, particularly in Tamil Nadu, it received unfavorable reviews from reviewers and viewers, which may be reason for concern. Industry tracker Sacnilk reports that on the first day of its release, Indian 2 brought in a total of Rs 26 crore nett across India, with Rs 17 crore coming from the Tamil version, Rs 1.1 crore from the Hindi version, and Rs 7.9 crore from the Telugu version.
