Day 1 Box Office Collection For Akshay Kumar-Taapsee Pannu's Film Khel Khel Mein: Slow Start

New Delhi: On Independence Day, the comedy-drama Kel Khel Mein, starring Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, and Akshay Kumar, opened in theaters. Muddasir Aziz, the film's director, had to contend with Vedaa, starring John Abraham, and the eagerly awaited horror-comedy Stree 2, which starred Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. When the revenue from Wednesday previews is taken into account, Stree 2 dominated the box office, earning a total of Rs 54 crore. On the other hand, Sacnilk reports that Khel Khel Mein had a sluggish start and made just Rs 5 crore on its first day of sales.

Khel Khel Mein's first day's Hindi occupancy rate was 40.26 percent, with most viewers coming for the night shows. The occupancy percentage in Delhi and NCR, which had 421 shows, was 50.5%, while in Mumbai, where the movie was shown in 352 theaters, it was 45.25 percent.

Even though Khel Khel Mein didn't have a great beginning, its first-day revenues were higher than that of Akshay Kumar's previous films, including Sarfira (Rs 2.4 crore), BellBottom (Rs 2.7 crore), Mission Raniganj (Rs 2.8 crore), and Selfiee (Rs 2.5 crore). It's interesting to note that Akshay Kumar appeared in Stree 2 as well.

Producers Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl, Shashikant Sinha, and Ajay Rai are behind Khel Khel Mein. Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal play important roles in the movie.
