Bobby Deol Criticizes Bollywood for Manipulation and Disillusionment with Writers and Directors: 'I Was Determined to Break Away'

Actor Bobby Deol has openly discussed the "darker aspects" of the Hindi film industry, emphasizing how "everyone has some degree of influence on you." During an interview with Times Now News, Bobby also expressed his disillusionment with writers, directors, and producers.

Bobby elaborated, "There are moments when you stray due to the industry's reactions. You find yourself choosing the safer, more comfortable path ahead. It becomes easy to avoid challenges and remain within your comfort zone under the influence of others. It's a somber truth for actors. Fortunately, I identified this and sought to break free. Many actors aspire to do the same but face difficulties, whereas I've successfully navigated through it."

"Decision-making can be immensely difficult, particularly when you invest your trust in something, only to feel let down by writers, directors, or producers. Historically, films were frequently driven by financial gain and other interests rather than purely creative satisfaction. Yet, I see a shift happening now, and it's crucial for people to embrace and promote these transformations," he commented.

Bobby Deol's career has been on an upward trajectory since his role as an antagonist in Ranbir Kapoor's "Animal." He is poised to play a villain in an upcoming spy thriller featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, set in the YRF Spy Universe and helmed by director Shiv Rawail. Additionally, Bobby will appear in "Kanguva" alongside Suriya, directed by Siruthai Siva. The film boasts a cast including Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, and Yogi Babu.
