During a raid on Blinkit's warehouse in Hyderabad, the Telangana Commissioner of Food Safety discovered "multiple violations, including expired products and unhygienic storage standards." Zomato's rapid commerce firm is called Blinkit.
In response to a question from Economic Times, the company said it is "implementing corrective actions closely with its warehouse partner and the food safety department." Notably, in order to find these infractions, the Commissioner of Food Safety for Telangana has been conducting raids on a variety of establishments in Hyderabad and other areas.
