How Richa Ghosh led India to their greatest score in women's T20Is by putting on an off-side masterclass

Asia Cup for women

In the 12th over of India's match against the UAE on Sunday in Dambulla, Richa Ghosh took the bat. The score was at 106/4. One of the most important tactical elements of T20 cricket these days is the batting entry point, and fortunately for India, the young wicketkeeper could not have come at a better time. With three wickets lost during the powerplay, a strong foundation was set with eight overs and a bit remaining.

And Ghosh made the most of her middle-order position, smashing 64 off just 29 balls in an innings that featured 12 fours and a six, culminating in an incredible strike-rate of 220.68.
