Apna Dal (Kamerawadi), a political party centered around the Kurmi OBC community and led by Krishna Patel, joined hands with AIMIM, Pragatisheel Manav Samaj Party, and Rashtriya Uday Party to form the PDM coalition. The PDM represents marginalized communities including the backward classes, Dalits, and Muslims.
"We are part of PDM in Uttar Pradesh and are urging voters to support PDM candidates by casting their vote for the envelope symbol," stated Owaisi in an interview with ANI.
When questioned about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's accusation against the Congress regarding reservations, Owaisi responded, "After the initial phase, the PM has narrowed the election focus to Muslims only, implying that only Muslim votes matter. This is their (BJP) tactic, diverting attention from their failures by stoking fear and hatred towards Muslims. They have failed to address unemployment and inflation, and there are issues like paper leaks in Uttar Pradesh. Their foreign policy is also weak, evident when Nepal included Indian territory on their currency. The nation sees through this and understands their aim to undermine the Constitution."
Owaisi added, "I urge people to prevent PM Modi from winning a third term, as it will lead to increased unemployment, inflation, and erosion of constitutional values."
