Trump vs. Harris: According to polls
Ipsos survey
According to a recent August 9 Ipsos survey, Kamala Harris is leading Donald Trump 42 percent to 37 percent for the elections on November 5. This indicates an increase in her popularity following a Reuters/Ipsos survey conducted July 22–23, which put her ahead of Trump by 37% to 34%.
Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin are the seven states where the 2020 race was closest. In a different poll, Ipsos saw Harris leading Trump in these states 42 percent to 40 percent.
YouGov survey
According to a CBS/YouGov survey published on August 4, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are getting closer. Since President Joe Biden withdrew his candidacy for reelection, she has eliminated Trump's increasing lead. According to the poll, Harris leads Trump nationally by 1%, as opposed to Trump's prior five-point lead over Biden. In swing states, Trump and Harris are comparable.
Furthermore, according to the survey, just 51% of participants said Trump had the mental capacity to be president, compared to 64% who believed Harris did.
Marist survey
According to a poll conducted by NPR, PBS News, and Marist, Harris leads Trump 51–48 percent of the time in important categories like Black voters, white women with college degrees, and women who identify as political independents. Swing voters are important, independent woman voters. With this group, Harris has significantly gained ground on Trump, with a 9-point (53–44%) advantage.
According to the poll, Harris has also significantly improved her standing among white voters in general and in suburban regions, which has helped her do better than in previous surveys.
On economic matters, Trump still has the upper hand over Harris, winning by 3 points (51–48 percent). In terms of immigration management, Trump has a 52–46% edge against Harris.
In the meantime, Harris is clearly ahead of Trump on the abortion question, with a 15-point edge.
After gaining President Joe Biden's backing, Kamala Harris announced her candidacy for president on July 21. Her running partner is Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota. This action follows Biden's abandonment of his candidacy and withdrawal from the contest on June 27 after a dismal debate performance against Donald Trump.
At a Philadelphia rally, Harris and Walz launched their united campaign, launching their challenge to Republican Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, in the next presidential contest.
