Renowned YouTuber Praneeth Hanumantu faced criticism for making jokes about pedophilia and child sex abuse during a live session with other YouTubers.

YouTuber Praneeth Hanumantu has been receiving backlash from Tollywood celebs for making inappropriate sexual references and "joking" about a father and daughter's relationship. Praneeth was the target of a formal complaint lodged at the Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) following a rebuke from Sai Dharam Tej, also known as Sai Durgha Tej. Following Sai's post on X (formerly Twitter) labeling Praneeth's remarks as "gruesome, disgusting, and scary" In response to the actor, Telangana police DGP Ravi Gupta said that a formal complaint has been made about the YouTuber. The DGP stated, "Strict actions will follow regarding the inappropriate comments on a child. An FIR has been filed with @TGCyberBureau."

"We are committed to protecting all citizens, especially children," DGP Ravi continued. Criminals who use social media for comedic purposes will be prosecuted, and our team @TelanganaCOPs is hard at work finding them. Nara Rohith and Manchu Manoj call out Praneeth.

Manchu Manoj also shared a post on X, tagging the chief ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Revanth and Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, respectively, as well as representatives from the US Embassy in India and Texas to take action about Praneeth.
