New Delhi: According to a research on World Youth abilities Day on Monday, 78.57 percent of Indian companies believe gig workers fulfill or exceed job standards, but they also stress the need for them to improve technical abilities.
According to a research from learning and employability solutions provider TeamLease EdTech, businesses are looking for gig workers who can manage clients well and have a solid mix of technical abilities, subject knowledge, and soft skills.
Technical abilities were deemed the most important by employers—75.90% of them—for gig workers. Communication skills came in second, with 68.67% of companies stressing the value of remote work and exceeding customer expectations.
"The gig economy is our current reality as well as the future of work." We see a significant potential here, with 78.57 percent of gig workers meeting or exceeding expectations.
