For at least a century, the crisp, fluffy white bread stick has been a staple of French cuisine and is recognized as a national symbol worldwide.

Many would say that its yeasty and wheaty smell is unique. not the post office in France, though."Just use your nails to rub this stamp in this manner," postal worker Clarisse Briend instructed. "The smell of the bread and baguette is evident."

However, don't expect the French food purists to be won over.According to Jeanne Barrere, manager of the Leonie Bakery next to the Champs-Elysees street in Paris, "Our yeast is gentle." This has a stronger vanilla scent.
