Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim: Tipped to Debut Later This Year With Larger Display, May Lack S Pen Support!

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is rumored to make its debut later this year, featuring a larger display. However, there are speculations that it may not support the S Pen.

Samsung is expected to host its next Galaxy Unpacked event in July, building anticipation for the unveiling of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Speculation surrounding the foldable lineup suggests the inclusion of a Fan Edition and Ultra versions of the Galaxy Z Fold. In addition, there are reports of another foldable device in the works — the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim. According to a tweet by DSCC analyst Ross Young, Samsung is developing a book-style foldable device larger than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The purported Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is slated to be announced in the fourth quarter (October-December) of this year, with a price similar to the standard model.

The slim variant is expected to feature a larger display compared to the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6, but it may lack support for the S Pen. Young suggests the possibility of the Galaxy Fold 6 Slim and Galaxy Fold 6 Ultra being the same device. The absence of S Pen support in the rumored model could be attributed to the slim design, as the S Pen requires a digitizer which might have been omitted to achieve the slim build.

The Fan Edition (FE) versions of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are also rumored to be released this year. Reports suggest they will be powered by either the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor or the Exynos 2300 SoC, depending on the market.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Specifications (Rumored) Rumors indicate that Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for July 10. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is rumored to feature a Titanium frame and retain 25W charging capability. It may come with a thicker form of ultra-thin glass (UTG) on the display and is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy. The device is likely to be available in dark blue, light pink, and silver color options. It is rumored to be equipped with a 4,400mAh battery supporting 25W charging.
