Pawan Kalyan: These are the portfolios allotted to Pawan Kalyan. Not expected at all
Chief Minister Chandrababu has already completed the exercise on the allocation of portfolios to the ministers. In particular, there were long discussions on which portfolios should be given to Pawan Kalyan. He also enquired about the departments in which Pawan was interested.
It is well known that a new government has been formed in AP. The TDP, Jana Sena and the alliance, which won a landslide victory in the general elections, took over the reins of power. Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan played a key role in the alliance and victory. The party also registered a strike rate of 100 per cent. It won all the seats it contested (21 assembly and 2 parliamentary seats). Jana Sena has been allotted 3 posts in Chandrababu's cabinet. Jana Sena chief's deputy CM's post has been confirmed. There is clarity on which departments will be allocated along with them.
Pawan Kalyan will be made deputy chief minister and will be allocated the key panchayati raj, rural development, forest and environment portfolios. Nadendla Manohar will be given civil supplies and Kandula Durgesh will be given tourism and cinematography department. According to government sources, the department with a rural background has been allotted as per Pawan's wish. An official announcement regarding the departments will be made in a few days.
