Nitish Kumar Not Getting Along Well with BJP, Claims Tejashwi Yadav: Something Major Will Happen After...

Nitish Kumar's relationship with the BJP isn't smooth, according to Tejashwi Yadav. He claims, "Something significant will occur after..."

Tejashwi Yadav expressed confidence that the INDIA bloc is poised for a remarkable victory in the Lok Sabha elections.

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav stated on Thursday that "something significant" would occur in Bihar after the Lok Sabha election results are announced. He also remarked that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar appeared to have a strained relationship with ally Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), as per PTI reports.

Yadav, who lost the Deputy CM's post after Kumar's abrupt return to the NDA in January this year, made the claim while interacting with journalists in Patna.

"Ever since I made the prediction that 'chacha' (referring to Nitish Kumar) will make a significant decision after the Lok Sabha polls, he has refrained from campaigning," Yadav stated, referencing a claim he had made a few days prior.

"I have also learned that it is the Governor who is convening meetings with officials and issuing instructions. On the election front, the BJP and the JD(U) are focusing solely on their respective seats, with no coordination," alleged the RJD leader. "All these factors confirm my suspicion that something major is going to happen in Bihar after June 4 (kucch bada)."

Yadav also expressed confidence that the INDIA bloc is poised for a remarkable victory in the Lok Sabha elections.

"The INDIA bloc is on track for a remarkable victory. The alliance may secure 300 plus seats. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be defeated by his three beloveds (teen Mehbooba) – poverty, price rise, and unemployment," he remarked.

Nitish Kumar's Reversal

Nitish Kumar, who had departed from the NDA alliance in 2022 to join the Opposition-led Mahagathbandhan, reversed his decision and rejoined the BJP-led alliance in January 2024, being sworn in as the chief minister of Bihar for the ninth time.

Interestingly, since Kumar's departure from the 'Mahagathbandhan' led by the RJD, Tejashwi Yadav has abstained from directly attacking the JD(U) president.

During his election campaigns, Yadav has also asserted that Nitish Kumar desires the defeat of the BJP, and "his blessings are with me" despite the termination of their alliance.

In Bihar, the NDA coalition partners BJP and JD(U) are contesting on 17 and 16 seats, respectively. Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) is contesting on five seats, and Jitan Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha are contesting on one seat each. On the other hand, the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) comprises the RJD, Congress, and Left parties.

In the 2019 elections, the BJP-led NDA swept the state by winning 39 out of 40 seats, while the Congress managed to secure just one seat.
