Mayor Sunil Rao criticizes the Minister's evaluation of Karimnagar municipality.

Karimnagar: The transport minister Ponnam Prabhakar was criticized by Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao for holding a review meeting over the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation.

The Minister met with district and local officials on Tuesday to examine the status of the development projects being undertaken with funding from the Smart City and other sources.

The Mayor reacted angrily to the Minister's evaluation, questioning how someone with no connection to the district could preside over a review meeting for the municipality.

Given that Prabhakar was not even the district in-charge minister, what role did the minister play in leading the review meeting? Has N Uttam Kumar Reddy, the minister in charge of the district, changed? He added the people should be informed by the State administration.

After losing three times in Karimnagar, Prabhakar moved to the Husnabad constituency in the Siddipet district and won the election there. The Mayor claimed that since the Minister and every member of his family had moved their ballots to Husnabad prior to the assembly elections, he had no link to the district.
