Kerala BJP chief: "The next target is the assembly polls, local body" NDA has a vote share of about 20%, which is significant for our growth.
"According to vote patterns in the Lok Sabha, the BJP won 11 Assembly segments and came in second in nine more. According to K Surendran, NDA received about 35,000 votes in a number of other Assembly segments.
Last week, the BJP achieved its greatest-ever parliamentary election performance in Kerala, capturing the state's first Lok Sabha seat. The victor, Thrissur-based actor Suresh Gopi, was rewarded with a position in the Union Council of Ministers under the new Modi administration. Additionally, the party's vote share rose from 13% to 16.68%. K Surendran, the president of the state BJP, discusses the party's accomplishments and future plans. Take-outs:
What do you think of the Kerala election results?
Our state-record-breaking performance followed expectations. The "Modi Promise" was successful. Our performance is devoted to the PM. Votes have been cast for us from all demographic groups. The NDA was able to gain ground on the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) and the CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF), whose vote shares declined. As demonstrated by the results in the Attingal and Alappuzha seats, the CPI(M)'s traditional base of support, the Hindu backward groups and SC-STs, voted primarily for the BJP.
What made BJP victory in Thrissur possible?
primarily three elements: Suresh Gopi has been working with the people of Thrissur and addressing their issues for the past five years, even after losing the 2019 elections. The other two are his star quality and adept booth management. We conducted numerous outreach initiatives for young people and women.
