While details about the battery, display, and chipset have been leaked multiple times, a recent leak suggests that the lineup will introduce two additional color options compared to the iPhone 15 series. The Pro models might come in four colors, with Apple potentially swapping out some existing shades for new ones.
Renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared his predictions regarding the iPhone 16 color choices. According to Kuo, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be offered in black, white (or silver), gray, and rose hues. The addition of rose replaces the Blue Titanium color from the iPhone 15 Pro series. Meanwhile, the base iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to come in black, white, green, pink, and blue variants. This suggests that the Yellow option from the iPhone 15 lineup will be replaced with white. Apple may use different color names even if the shades remain similar. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are currently available in Black, Blue, Green, Pink, and Yellow.
Recent leaks have hinted at a purple iPhone 16 model, although Kuo didn't mention this color in his statement.
The iPhone 16 series has been generating considerable excitement online ahead of its anticipated release in September. Rumors suggest that the standard models will be equipped with an A18 Bionic chip manufactured using TSMC's 3nm process, while the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max variants might feature an A18 Pro chip.
The iPhone 16 Pro is rumored to sport a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max may feature a larger 6.9-inch screen. The standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to maintain the screen sizes of their predecessors at 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches, respectively.
