International Yoga Day 2024: Exercises for autoimmune disease sufferers' general wellbeing

International Yoga Day 2024: Autoimmune disorders relate to the condition where the immune system starts attacking the body's cells and tissues, mistaking them for external invaders. Conditions such as Rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, Multiple sclerosis, and Type 1 Diabetes are just a few instances of the many autoimmune disorders. In an interview with IT Lifestyle, Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, Founder of Akshar Yoga Kendraa, Author and Columnist said, "This inappropriate immune response leads to chronic inflammation and damage to various organs and systems.

Autoimmune diseases are becoming more common and impact millions of people globally. Interestingly, women are more likely than males to experience these diseases, which significantly compromises their health and wellbeing."

Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar said, "Over the past few decades, the incidence of autoimmune disorders has steadily increased, becoming a significant public health concern," in explaining the rising trend of autoimmune disorders. This increasing tendency is caused by a number of reasons, such as lifestyle modifications, environmental triggers, and genetic susceptibility."

Walking in an endless sequence for approximately 10 minutes is the practice. Enhancing peripheral blood circulation and fortifying the muscles of the lower limbs, back, and pelvis are some of its benefits.

Raising your hands while walking has several benefits, including bettering body communication, integrating the neurological system, regulating the muscles in the neck and back, and boosting circulation.
