First Voter at Bilaspur Polling Booth, Nadda Expresses Confidence in NDA Crossing 400 Seats under Modi's Leadership

On Saturday, BJP President JP Nadda accused the Congress of employing the divide and rule principle for 75 years to expand its vote bank.

After casting his vote in Bilaspur, Nadda expressed confidence in BJP's victory, claiming that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would surpass 400 seats. He stated, "People are going to bless Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the NDA will cross the mark of 400 seats. The entire country is discussing '400 paar,' but those who have engaged in negative politics are saying that we want 400 seats to change the Constitution."

"The individuals discussing altering the Constitution are those who have engaged in negative politics. They consistently attempt to mislead and divide society. For the past 75 years, they have operated on the divide and rule principle to expand their vote bank. PM Modi has propelled India towards Viksit Bharat through his positive politics," stated the BJP leader.

Nadda emphasized that the country is being governed effectively under PM Modi's leadership. "The people have confidence that Modi's assurance equates to the fulfillment of promises. India is in capable hands, with a robust government under PM Modi's guidance, working towards self-reliance," he stated.

Strongly criticizing the Congress for causing confusion on certain issues, Nadda accused them of attempting to divert attention from secularism by giving special preference to minorities, specifically Muslims, in their manifesto. "Congress tried to sow confusion on various matters. Their promise of special preference to minorities, meaning Muslims for them, signifies appeasement and a diversion from secularism. PM Modi truly embodies secularism because he has never suggested that schemes and guarantees will be allocated based on a specific caste or religion," remarked the BJP leader.

The BJP president emphasized that the party prioritized the nation's interests by revoking Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and fulfilling the promise of constructing the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. "The Ram Mandir is a matter of faith for us; it's not about votes or politics. Similarly, Article 370 is a matter concerning the country, not votes. The entire nation stood with us, recognizing that the BJP has bolstered India's pride by constructing the Ram Mandir and abolishing Article 370, making the country stronger," stated Nadda.

Earlier in the day, Nadda cast his vote at a polling booth in Bilaspur, accompanied by his wife Mallika Nadda. "I was the first voter here. I urge all voters to participate in large numbers for a capable and self-reliant India. Let's contribute towards making India capable, self-reliant, and developed...I see this as a celebration of democracy," remarked the BJP president.

The seventh phase marks the conclusion of the world's largest polling marathon, which commenced on April 19 and has already covered six phases and 486 Lok Sabha seats.

Voting commenced at 7 am in the final 57 parliamentary constituencies across seven states and the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
