HMD Global is said to be in the process of developing three new smartphones, including two midrange models, as per a report. These smartphones are purported to share similar specifications with the Pulse handsets launched by the company earlier this year. The report indicates that the upcoming HMD devices might feature vibrant colors and soft lines, reminiscent of previous Nokia phones.
According to information from Nokiamob, the three smartphones are potentially named HMD Nighthawk, HMD Tomcat, and HMD Project Fusion. The first two are expected to be mid-range devices, while the latter is rumored to be a rugged smartphone. However, it's worth noting that the names of these smartphones are subject to change.
Expected Specifications of HMD Nighthawk
The initial device in the lineup is speculated to be the HMD Nighthawk. Reports suggest it could sport a Full HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The rear camera setup is expected to comprise a primary 108-megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor, while a 32-megapixel front camera is anticipated. Powering the smartphone could be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 1 chip, paired with a 5,000mAh battery.
The HMD Nighthawk is said to come with additional features, including Android 14, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 5, dual speakers, NFC support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is rumored to be priced at EUR 250 (approximately Rs. 22,500) for the 8GB+128GB variant.

According to the report, the HMD Tomcat may also boast a Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR 10+ support. It could be powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset built on a 4nm architecture. For optics, it may feature a triple rear camera setup comprising a primary 108-megapixel camera with OIS, along with 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel secondary and tertiary sensors.
Reportedly, other features of the HMD Tomcat could include Bluetooth 5.2, a 4,900mAh battery with 33W charging, an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, stereo speakers, and NFC support. The expected price for the 8GB+256GB variant is EUR 400 (approximately Rs. 36,000).

As per the publication, the HMD Project Fusion is speculated to be in the prototype stage. It is rumored to sport a 6.6-inch IPS Full HD+ display. Powering the smartphone could be a Qualcomm QCM6490 chip paired with 8GB of RAM. The device is expected to house a 4,800mAh battery with support for 30W wired and 15W wireless fast charging. Reportedly, its dimensions may measure 164mm × 76mm × 8.6mm, and it may come equipped with features such as Wi-Fi 6E, HMD Smart Outfits, Dynamic Triple ISP, Pogo Pin connectivity, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
