Infosys said Karnataka has dropped its GST notice and will reply to DGGI.
Infosys received a notification of Rs 32,403 crore from the DGGI for services it received from its foreign affiliates during a five-year period beginning in 2017.
Infosys told stock exchanges on Thursday that the Karnataka state GST authority had withdrawn its notice, one day after it had revealed that it had received Goods and Services Tax (GST) notices from state and federal authorities. The business would now have to provide a response on the subject to the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI).
The firm claimed in a stock filing that it had received a communication from the Karnataka State authorities, who withdrew the pre-show cause notice and instructed the company to provide more information to the DGGI central authority on this issue.
