India can now use Meta Verified for WhatsApp Business.

Meta recently revealed that WhatsApp Business users in India, Brazil, Indonesia, and Colombia would soon be able to access the Meta Verified program. When the authentication feature for WhatsApp Business was first introduced in September of last year, it was only available to users of Facebook and Instagram.

Merchants who subscribe to the Meta Verified subscription service will receive the verified badge and impersonation protection if they share their business credentials with the company, just like with Instagram and Facebook. Additionally, certified companies are eligible to receive a special WhatsApp channel for advertising.
