Radhika and Anant Ambani's star-studded wedding: more photos inside.

Mumbai: On Friday, Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Asia's richest man, tied the knot with pharmaceutical heiress and childhood sweetheart Radhika Merchant in front of a star-studded audience that included politicians, a who's who of Hindi and south Indian cinema, and nearly all of the nation's best cricket players.

The "wedding of the year" was attended by a number of prominent figures from the world of business, including oil giant Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser, Samsung Electronics chairman Jay Lee, drug major GSK plc chief executive Emma Walmsley, Nigerian rapper Rema, and former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair. Reality TV star Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe was also present.

Almost the entire top rung bollywood actors — from Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan to Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Tiger Shroff and Varun Dhawan — were present, most with their families, while superstars Rajinikanth, Ram Charan and Mahesh Babu led the entourage from down south.

The wedding saw the entire gamut of Indian cricketers descend — from icons like Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni to yesteryear great Krish Srikkanth and latest sensations Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav.

Anant, 29, tied the knot with Radhika, daughter of Indian pharma tycoons Viren and Shaila Merchant, in a traditional Hindu ceremony at Mumbai’s Jio World Drive — a convention centre built and owned by the Ambani family.

The "baraat" gathered at the convention center earlier, and the groom, dressed in a rust orange sherwani, drove away from Antilia, the Ambani family home, in an opulent red sedan decorated with strings of white flowers. From there, it was a short drive to the mandap.

Pastel colors dominated the outfits of the Ambani family, including father and chairman of the oil and telecom company Reliance Industries Mukesh, mother Nita, sister Isha and her husband Anand Piramal, and brother Akash. The designers, Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla. The sole exception was Shloka Metha, Aakash's wife, who looked magnificent in a hot pink lehenga embellished with crystals.

John Cena, an American actor and rapper, and Rajinikanth, a Tamil superstar, joined groom Anant Ambani, Anil Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh for a dance during the "baraat." Nita and her husband welcomed King Khan and his family, and Shah Rukh Khan gave them hugs and danced with them.

For the baraat, several people, like Ananya Panday, wore clothing with the phrase "Anant's Brigade" on them. "Mere Yaar ki Shaadi" was written by others.

The family has been throwing extravagant parties since March, and this three-day wedding extravaganza is the last one. The Ambanis threw three opulent pre-wedding celebrations since the pair announced their engagement in January 2023.

First, the family's refinery township in Jamnagar, Gujarat, staged a three-day pre-wedding event in March, which was attended by tech millionaires.

Both Indian and foreign guests adhered to the dress code as well.
