Although Spain has changed, it is still as magnificent to see as the class of 2008. It's possible that the boys are already considering the future.
In football, a second Spanish revolution is under way. There is a widespread perception that something even more amazing is happening and that the victory at Euro 2024 is not the end but rather the beginning of a bold and brilliant new Spanish football era. Rather, it feels more like 2008 all over again, with a team that has the potential to become one of the best ever and could emulate the all-conquering genius of the Taka Taka generation. Perhaps it is too arrogant to say, but the talent they possess is terrifying.
This is an even younger team, one that is based on the magnificent talents of Nico Williams, 21, and Lamine Yamal, 17, both of whom represent a more diverse Spain. Xavi was 28 years old in 2008.
