Due to weaker manufacturing development, India's industrial production as measured by the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) slowed to a three-month low of 5% in April, according to statistics provided by the National Statistical Office (NSO) on Wednesday.
Manufacturing, which makes up 77.6% of the IIP's weight, rose by 3.9% in April compared to 5.5% in the same period last year and 5.8% a month earlier.
