The Centre for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras recently hosted the inaugural ‘CODE HR Summit 2024’. The event featured 21 Human Resources (HR) leaders and keynote sessions on generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in human resources and the metaverse. The theme, "Empowering the Future Workforce," emphasized the importance of skill-based training and continuous learning.
The summit showcased top projects by IIT Madras Bachelor of Science (BS) students, highlighting their innovative work and talent. The Best Business Data Management (BDM) project award recognized outstanding achievements in business data management, giving students practical experience relevant to the industry.
Crucial topics such as diversity in hiring, skill-based hiring, and upskilling strategies were discussed. The event attracted distinguished attendees, including Chief Experience Officers (CXOs), Chief Human Resources Officers (CHROs), learning and development leaders, talent acquisition leaders, tech leaders, and programme working professionals.

The summit facilitated networking among over 240 HR and talent acquisition leaders, fostering collaboration and ongoing learning opportunities. It also connected participants to the IIT Madras network, strengthening ties between industry and academia.
