Delhivery and Xpressbees, two third-party companies, aim to handle the logistics of the rapid commerce race.

As demand for quick-commerce continues to rise on platforms like Swiggy Instamart, Blinkit, Zepto, and others, third-party logistics companies like Delhivery and Xpressbees, who have previously concentrated on fulfilling e-commerce orders, are venturing into this market, various people with knowledge of their intentions told ET.

The largest third-party logistics (3PL) company, Delhivery, is situated in Gurgaon and has begun managing Swiggy Instamart's larger warehouses, which serve small dark stores, or fulfilment centers, in urban pockets. According to additional sources, Pune-based Xpressbees is in discussions with several companies about joining the market.

Mother warehouses are being redesigned by businesses like Zepto in order to sell more goods.

"Delhivery and Swiggy Instamart are now collaborating closely, and there are plans to grow this relationship. As the major competitors diversify to broaden their offers, this would assist Instamart in managing the flow of various types of stock keeping units (SKUs), according to a person with knowledge of the situation.
