During the night, while Sureshi and her son Nitesh were sleeping outside, a leopard entered the area between 2 am and 3 am, taking the boy. The mother woke up to her son's cries and saw the leopard carrying him away.

Sudarshan Sharma, DCF Rajsamand, stated that this incident is the first of its kind reported in the district. He mentioned that the house had goats and sheep, suspecting the leopard came for them but took the boy instead.

The boy's head and some intestine parts were discovered about 2 kilometers from the house. Villagers tracked the leopard's path and found more remains. Efforts are underway to capture the leopard and relocate it to a zoo.
