Ban on Korean noodles: How can consuming spicy food result in severe food poisoning?
While some people are more acclimated to spicy food because of their culinary traditions, this does not indicate that they are impervious to the negative effects of excessively spicy cuisine owing to cultural differences.
Denmark is adding some spice to the situation by recalling a number of well-known Korean instant ramen noodles made by Samyang. The cause? elevated quantities of capsaicin, the heat-producing ingredient in chili peppers, which Danish authorities worry could put customers at danger of "acute poisoning."
Three spicy flavors—Hot Chicken Stew, 2x Spicy & Hot Chicken, and Buldak 3x Spicy & Hot Chicken—are being removed from the stores. The products were recalled by Denmark's food authorities, which also advised customers to throw them away.
